My story…

In 2019 my father passed away and left the family some bitcoin. Fortunately, by following various breadcrumbs, we were able to take possession of it. Through what I learned in first navigating transactions and wallets with no customer support, and later through my full-on rabbit-hole journey, I was eventually orange-pilled by the many helpful folks along the way and I became a bitcoiner.

The purpose of the Accidental Bitcoiner project (and future book) is to share my father’s unique journey in being one of the oldest, early bitcoin owners. I will also share my personal journey from knowing almost nothing to where I am today. At the same time my purpose is to capture this moment in history for Bitcoin as the older generation ages and how we get ready for the next generation of bitcoiners.

I have told my bitcoin origin story to dozens of bitcoiners, and I have yet to meet anyone who came to Bitcoin through inheritance.
